This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed within the Saskano.lv platform for reconciliation of accounting balances and turnover between companies (the “System”).

The System provides accounting balance reconciliation between companies, as well as preparation of documentary evidence for independent financial statement audits.
2. Purposes and Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing
Personal data is processed for the following purposes:
2.1. To Provide System Functionality
To provide balance reconciliation functionality between companies and their business partners.

- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract;
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests of the controller to ensure secure, transparent, and documented reconciliation of balances between companies.
2.2. Compliance with Legal Requirements
To ensure compliance with the Accounting Law of the Republic of Latvia and best practices in accounting organization, as well as to provide evidence for independent financial statement audits.

2.3. Voluntary Identity Verification
If the user chooses to perform identity verification (Smart-ID or eParaksts Mobile), personal data is processed to increase the reliability of submitted information.

3. Categories of Personal Data Processed
The following categories of personal data may be processed within the System.
3.1. Identification Data
- First name and surname
- Personal identification number (if verification is performed)
- Date of birth (if verification is performed)
- Country of residence (if verification is performed)
3.2. Contact Information
- Email address
- Phone number (voluntarily provided)
By providing a phone number, the user agrees to its inclusion in reconciliation documents and its use for communication regarding clarification of reconciliation data.
3.3. Transaction and Reconciliation Data
- Reconciliation request information
- Submitted amounts and dates
- User comments
- Information contained in attached documents
3.4. Technical Data
- IP address
- Access and authorization data
- System activity logs (for security purposes)
4. Source of Personal Data
Personal data is obtained only from System users themselves or from companies initiating the reconciliation process and specifying responsible contact persons.
5. Data Retention Period
Reconciliation requests and responses are stored for 9 (nine) months from completion of the reconciliation process.
After this period, the data is deleted.
Before deletion, the System sends the initiator of the reconciliation request a PDF archive containing the relevant information.
If legal regulations require a longer retention period, data may be retained accordingly.
6. Transfer of Personal Data
Saskano.lv does not transfer personal data to third parties except in the following cases:
- where required by applicable law or requested by competent public authorities;
- where data processors are engaged for data processing purposes (for example hosting, IT maintenance, or identity verification service providers) under data processing agreements ensuring appropriate data protection measures.
Personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area unless appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with GDPR requirements.
7. User Rights
Users have the following rights:
- to request access to their personal data;
- to request correction of inaccurate data;
- to request deletion of personal data (unless retention is legally required);
- to request restriction of processing;
- to object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- to receive their data in a structured and commonly used format (where applicable);
- to withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent);
- to submit a complaint to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (http://www.dvi.gov.lv).

The System does not perform automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
8. Security
Personal data is processed and protected in accordance with GDPR, laws of the Republic of Latvia, and industry best practices in information security.
Saskano.lv implements technical and organizational security measures appropriate to the risk level to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data.
The System uses appropriate security measures including:
- password-based access authorization;
- voluntary identity verification using Smart-ID or eParaksts Mobile;
- access rights restrictions;
- secure data transmission;
- security logging and monitoring.
9. Cookies
The System uses only technical cookies necessary for session management and operation of the System.
No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies are used.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Saskano.lv reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available within the System.
